Dinosaurs

One thing I told JR we would do when we moved to Utah was go to a museum and see dinosaur bones. He loves dinosaurs. So we headed over to 2 buck Tuesdays at Thanksgiving Point. The place was packed, but JR loved every minute of it. AJ wasn't too impressed.

Here are few pics from the day. View all the pics here.

AJ wasn't too happy about having to stay in the stroller, but there was just too many people to let him walk.

Digging for fossils. JR loved it.

AJ did not.

Moving day

JR was so excited about helping load the truck. I didn't take very many pics but here are a few.

Playing in empty cupboards

One things that is great about moving. The cupboards are bare and make for a great place to play. This is what they boys enjoyed before we moved, during the packing process.

Things I'll miss

Here a few random pics of a few things I will miss about Mississippi. I stole most of these pics from websites.

Our first house.

The greenery as you drive down a highway.

Downtown Starkville. I love small town's downtowns.

MSU campus. Both Mike and I went to MSU and I worked there for 5 years. The campus is gorgeous and I will miss walking across campus when I was a student.

My building, where I worked for 5 years.

The bell of the Chapel of Memories. If I heard it while walking to class, it usually indicated I was late.

The construction on campus. There were many days that we needed to get out of the house to let Mikey have time to work undisturbed, so we would take a drive on campus and watch the construction. It always entertained JR.

The orange park. The park we would usually play at. It didn't have a name for a while, so we all called it the orange park, they recently named it Patriot Park

Of course the thing I will miss the most is all the friends we left behind. We will miss y'all.

We made it

We have survived our move. I really don't want to retell the whole story. Only that it was very stressful. This was the first move since we have had children and I really don't want to do a big move like that again if we can help it. But of course we don't always have control over that, but I would love to just stay here local if possible. The most stressful thing was the fact that the moving company we chose to go with cancelled on us the day before our move. So frustrating, but it has all worked out and we are now here and somewhat settled. Because we are living with family for now, it still feels like we are visiting, but we do have all our stuff here so it makes it feel more real. I still haven't had a chance to see all my family yet, but it is also nice to realize that we are here for a little while so we don't have to rush to see everyone, there will be time. The kids are adjusting pretty good. AJ is still not sure about all the family, but he will warm up to everyone soon. JR has been having so much fun playing outside everyday since we have been here, and playing with cousins and he hasn't even seen all his cousin yet. I am worried about Pepper (our dog). We are living downstairs and he can't go up and down the stairs so it has been hard on him. So not sure what to do about that.

Happy Birthday Lucky Star

Happy Birthday to the sweet baby girl I was able to hold for a few hours. I was able to feed her a bottle and ooh and aww at her while she slept peacefully in my arms.

Happy Birthday to the little girl who was almost mine. I hope you are enjoying your birthday.
