JR

All about JR.

Isn't he a cutie?
He is going to be playing T-ball and is so excited.
At his 4 year-old check up he is in 86% for his height.
Everyone tells me he is tall for his age, but I really don't notice.
I love to watch him pretend. He has awesome conversations with himself, and the people in his pretend world.
I love it when he uses a word he is not sure the meaning of. However he usually uses it in the correct context, which amazes me every time.
He is full of questions.  I admit I sometimes get frustrated with all his questions, but I love that right now, he will ask everything and anything that comes to his mind.
For the most part he loves being the big brother and most the time he is an awesome big brother.
He did tell me the other day that sometimes he wants to be the little brother.
One of his favorite things to do is watch YouTube.  He usually watches videos of garbage trucks or constructions trucks.
He has started to really want to read and write.  He is picking up things really quickly.
He is very sensitive, and not always sure how to react in uncomfortable situations.
I have a hard time watching him, when I see he is about to break down in a tough situation.
I have to buy his clothes in the boys section now.
Loves to be outside, now that we have had some warm days.  (It's been very difficult getting him to come inside on those days)
Is a daddy's boy.
When he was a baby, everyone told me he looked like Mike.  Now that he is older they all say he looks like me.
Randomly makes up and sings songs while he is playing.
I love watching him grow into the big kid he is becoming.  Sometimes I wish he could stay my baby forever, but I really do love watching him grow and learn, even though it happens too quickly.

Pregnancy Blog

I was going to edit my previous post about the pregnancy blog but accidentally deleted it.  So instead I will just include the link to it here.

I am planning to update here soon, with some new pics.  I got a bunch on Easter Sunday, but I never seem to have the time to get it updated, but here is some good news.  The house in Mississippi did sell, the buyer closed last Friday.  So we are no longer home owners to a vacant house that just sits there.  Now if Mike could just find a job, we would be doing great.

Quick update

I just thought I would give a quick update on what has happened recently, because I know that some people that read the blog may want to know.  Mikey did not get the job at Snow College. I am getting really sick of all these schools not realizing what they are passing up when the do not hire my amazing husband.  Anyway he still continues to look and apply for jobs.  Our top choice right now, (because they are looking for the exact type of historian Mikey is) happens to be in Georgia.  It is something he just recently applied to, so it might be some time before he actually hears of anything yet.  Will try to keep y'all posted if anything promising comes up in the future.  I just keep trying to figure out what we are supposed to be learning through this trial, and all I can think of is patience.  I thought I had gone through enough trials on that though, but I guess not.  Maybe patience is something you have to continue to learn your whole life.

Some good news though, it looks like our house will sell in the next week or so.  Of course nothing is final until the buyer closes, but everything is going well thus far, and we have passed all the possible obstacles that could have messed up the sale. So by the end of the month, we will no longer own a house across the country that is just sitting there and not being used.  Very thankful for that blessing.
