Louise Marie Brown
1942~2013
Louise Marie Brown passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 10, 2013. She was born December 8, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Herman Jennings and Myrtle Josephine Brown. Louise graduated from South High School. Louise was a dedicated employee; she worked for the Telephone Company for over 40 years.
Louise loved reading, listening to music, and watching old movies with family and friends. She was a true sports enthusiast. Louise particularly enjoyed her time traveling with her best friend and cousin, Marian.
Louise loved her family and loved to search for the perfect gift. She will be dearly missed.
Louise is survived by her brother, Robert (Karen) Brown; nieces - Karrie (Tenny) Pati, Becky (Kevin) Tirrell, Kristy Brown, and Lynda (Mike) Goleman; grand nieces and nephews - Tyler, Braeden, Katie, Hunter, Maddie, Toby, Tank, Jonathan, Andrew, Clate, Trissie, Anabel, and a baby on the way.
Proceeded in death by her parents, and her cousin Marian Roe.

Last month I lost my Aunt Louise. She was 70 years old, and although her health wasn't great, I really didn't expect it. We were able to go for a short visit for her funeral. This is the first death in the family that the boys really understood. They seemed to be okay with everything. They knew Aunt Louise, but not as well as their cousins, since we have always lived far away. Aunt Louise was my aunt that spoiled us girls every year at Christmas, she never married and was my dad's only sister so we were her only family. I remember her stuffing stockings and giving us tons of gifts when I was young. When we were older and having our own kids, she continued to spoil the kids and even us as adults. I also remember how much she loved to cook. She would cook thanksgiving dinner most years and she loved being in the kitchen. She was also so willing to help the family with things, by paying for things that we would otherwise not be able to afford. I also remember how she loved going to plays. I remember going to see Les Miserables with her and my dad when I was a teenager. I never thought about it before, but I am sure she paid for those tickets. Even though I knew her my whole life, there are a lot of things that I really didn't know about her. She was not active in the church, but I do not know if she had a testimony of the gospel, but only because she never talked about it to us. I know she probably did by the way she lived, she always supported us in everything and showed so much love and kindness to us. I also remember her coming to my wedding, when she was probably the only one in the family that was not able to attend the actual ceremony. She came and was apart of that for me. I really am going to miss her and wish I knew her better.
Here are some pics from the funeral. I am still waiting for some pictures from my sister to send me, we were able to get a big family picture with everyone in it. Do not know when that will happen again.
