This is a little late, but back in August, JR had his first day of school. He did not want to go. He loves summer vacation, and I was not happy to have to take him back to school either. Dropping him off for his first day of first grade was worse than kindergarten. Basically because I had to leave him crying. Kindergarten he was so excited, he was fine to be left, but not this time. He wouldn't even let me take a picture of him the morning before school. All day I couldn't stop thinking about it, but at the same time, knowing he was fine. I made this giant cookie for him so he could have it when he got home. He was smiling and happy when he got off the bus.
He really liked the cookie, and was very willing to share it with everyone, and he didn't even want to eat it until after dinner. I can't believe I have a first grader.
