Milk
We started giving Jonathan cow's milk when he was about 10 months old (he was still drinking mommy's milk at that time, so this was maybe one cup a day of cow's milk). He never had any issues with it. When he was completely weaned from nursing he drank cow's milk fine and never had any problems. We get milk through WIC, so they give us the UHT milk or milk that comes in a box. If you have never tasted it, let's just say it tastes different from regular milk. But Jonathan drank it just fine. Then about a month or so ago, Jonathan got sick. He was up all night, and didn't really eat anything the night before. The next morning I was teaching seminary and holding Jonathan in my arms, because Mike had stayed up most of the night with him, and was exhausted. The only thing that Jonathan had to drink that morning was milk. Well right during the closing prayer of seminary, Jonathan threw up, all over me, himself, his blanket, my scriptures and the floor. (That made my seminary class memorable.) That day we took him to the dr. and he had a double ear infection. After that he would no longer drink milk. I thought it was more of an association with throwing up after drinking it. Since the WIC milk tastes different than regular milk we tried giving him some regular milk and he started to drink it again. Then one day he just started throwing it up again. Just the milk. So now we don't know if his tummy just can't handle it for some reason. So we have tried to for the past two days, and there are times that he doesn't seem to like the taste and other times he seems fine to drink it. Maybe he is just picky and we should try different flavors (we started with vanilla). We will see how it goes. The way this boy began eating food I would have never guessed that he would have become as picky with eating as he has become.
